The Summer Reading Program is totally free!
While we would love for you to sign up for a library card, it is not a requirement for participating in the Summer Reading Program!
No! Please feel free to read whatever you'd like. Although, we think you'll definitely find something in our extensive collection.
Because we are limited by the program used for online logging (Engaged Patron), we unfortunately do not have the option to change the logging method from hours to minutes.
Here is what we suggest:
- Keep track of minutes read. You can do this on your own, or download a tracking sheet to make it easier.
- Once you have a full hour, go ahead and log it online.
- Engaged Patron requires you to put in a title, so feel free to choose one from the books your child has read (or you've read to them).
Note: We ask that you only use one method of logging (online or in person), so please do not return the online tracking sheets to the library if you are logging online.
No. All winners of any prize drawings will be contacted after the drawing has occurred.
While we would love for you to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, it is not a requirement to attend any of our family entertainment events. Please come and enjoy these free community events with your family!
Registration for all age groups opens on Monday, June 1. There is no deadline, and you may register anytime during the program.
- The Cubs & Tigers programs end on July 8.
- The Teen & Adult programs end on July 10.
Keep in mind that the earlier you register and begin logging what you read, the better chances you'll have at winning prizes!
